Corrugated Cardboard boxes
To ensure efficient handling of bulk cargo, we recommend using new corrugated cardboard boxes, known for their superior strength and ability to protect products according to their nature. These boxes are constructed with a central arched layer, called fluting, made of corrugated paper, which is glued to the wave crests for added durability. We suggest using certified cardboard boxes, which display marks indicating the maximum weight they can hold, the maximum stacking capacity, and other relevant specifications.
Skywings Values
At Go trans our culture comes to life through three core values:
Shipments containing solids in powdered form
All powdered shipments must utilize combined packaging, including both internal and external packaging, to ensure proper handling and transport. This combined packaging should consist of an external box and inner polyethylene bags, all secured with packing tape. To ensure staff safety, it is essential to avoid contact between the powder and eyes or skin, as well as inhalation and ingestion. Note: If shipments of powdered solids are classified as dangerous goods, please refer to the packaging specifications in the “Dangerous Goods Regulations Guide.”
Stacked Cardboard boxes on Skids
When stacking boxes to form a skid, it is crucial to consider the number of boxes to prevent the lower ones from being crushed by the combined weight. Verify the marks on the outside of the boxes (when visible) to ensure that the stack does not exceed the listed number of boxes or the maximum weight limit (tare) they can withstand. Pallets should be secured with strapping (metal or plastic) and corner protectors to prevent the skid from coming apart during handling. Customers should choose the appropriate type of strap for the cargo packaging to avoid damage to the cargo.
Packaging for the rainy season
During the rainy season, it is advisable to plastic wrap all shipments that are susceptible to water damage. Note: Never cover the packaging of live animals with plastic wrap, as this will block their ventilation and air supply.
